The Planning

Here is draft 1 of the plan

+++++
Diploma of Facilitation Project – Draft Proposal – 22 May 2008

The Project
What do I do now?

The Purpose
To decide on a course of action; namely what job(s) to pursue.

The way in which this decision is made is of paramount importance.
Namely, by accessing a particular state of being. This state of being can be thought of as; 'non-egoic mind', 'the now', 'consciousness', 'God', 'I' (captialised), 'presence' or 'spirit'.
There will also be intentionality of some sort but the nature of this intentionality is to be investigated / experimented with.

How it forwards facilitation and your practice of it
On a general level facilitation requires processes and interventions. The 'place' / 'state' from which these come could be a place of 'spirit' or not. It is my contention that by acting out of a place of 'spirit' facilitation becomes more effective. Thus, discovering how to be able to come from this place regularly would be useful.
Secondly, the Zenergy model of facilitation works with purpose / intentionality. There may be some types of purpose that are more conducive to being aided by spirit. This would be useful to investigate.
On a specific level I have (as far as I am aware) usually facilitated from the 'i' ; the egoic mind. I would like to learn to facilitate from the 'I' (the spirit). I believe that this will also help me deal with feeling usafe and vulnerable in the facilitators role.

Time Frame
Between 3 and 6 months

Key Objectives

  • To find a job or jobs that align with my / the intentionality

  • To discover and document ways to come from the 'I'

  • To experiment with and document types of 'intentionality' that appear to 'work' and 'not work'

  • To be open to and to document anything else useful that arises

Action Plan
Start by turning the Draft Proposal into a firm one – via coaching
+++++

+++++
After my first coaching session I revised the proposal and came up with draft 2 - 31 May 2008.
I will spare you draft 2 (see 'watch out for the ego')
+++++

+++++
On Thursday 12 June 2008 I had my second coaching session where draft 2 was discussed

Then on Monday 23rd June I sent this email

Project another go (3rd of 3)

Hi Dale
I don't know exactly why but last time's coaching didn't work or did work depending on how you look at it I suppose.
I have been percolating and I am of the belief that the project has gone off in the wrong direction into an area in which I don't think is the right place to be.....................
So, I am coming back to where I started but with a slightly different angle, namely I am thinking of calling the project 'Dwelling in Spirit'.
The purpose of the project is as you would imagine to dwell in spirit.
It has the advantage that I can run it beside the new job that I just landed today (wahoo) := and it will be really focused because I NEED to dwell in spirit for the work to go ok (well i believe i do anyway).
Again, relevance to facilitation obvious i believe in that if i dwell in spirit whilst I facilitate then it will go better...............
I will draft up another project proposal and send it to you in the next couple of days.
Cheers Graham

The 'final plan' never formally emerged for 2 reasons

  1. My priorities changed and learning and holding down the job became my main priority
  2. The 'final plan' was essentially a pared down version of 'draft 1'.

So essentially the plan became

The Project
